CHALLENGE
A ready-mix concrete company faced multiple challenges with the products used to wash its trucks. Some of these issues are highlighted below:
- Three different products were required to complete a single wash.
- The product would run off the truck, causing waste and reducing the contact time between cleaning agents and the truck surface.
- The products emitted fumes and were not safe for skin contact, causing irritation to the skin and eyes during application—leading drivers to avoid washing their trucks.

SOLUTION
Triton™ Heavy-Duty Truck Wash contains Modified Acid HCR® technology, which offers an effective and biodegradable alternative to conventional acid. HCR® reduces the hazardous effects of strong mineral acids, such as fumes and corrosive effects on skin and equipment, through superior control of reaction rates, providing multiple technical and operational benefits to assist in the removal of concrete, scale, and salt. Triton™ Heavy-Duty Truck Wash is formulated with a surfactant package to remove the buildup of oil, grease, and dirt, and to allow the product to adhere to vertical surfaces during application. This improves the contact time between cleaning agents and the truck surface, allowing them to penetrate and remove buildup and dirt more effectively.
RESULTS

During product testing, the customer selected the dirtiest truck in the yard, as shown in Figure 1.
